“Judas” VS “For Sale”

A few weeks ago, we did a post about Calvin Harris’ new single and talked about how Chris Brown’s “Yeah X3” sounded like a copy of Calvin Harris’ “Not Alone”. This week Lady Gaga’s new single “Judas” was released and instantly Sebastian Ingrosso posted a tweet with links to two YouTube videos and tags to Lady Gaga and RedOne – Red One is the producer of Judas. One of the links was a video to Lady Gaga’s “Judas” and the other was to Buy Now’s “For Sale”. Buy Now was an alias used by Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello in the earlier years of their career – they released “For Sale” in 2005. Ingrosso clearly wanted Lady Gaga and RedOne to hear the similarities. Point taken.

If you listen to the two tracks you can clearly hear the same riff. Electronic music is always a few years ahead of what you hear on the radio. Ideas and sounds played in the clubs today are what will be on the radio a few years from now. Dance music today creates the pop music of tomorrow, but blatantly copying melodies and riffs is something completely different. Shame on you Lady Gaga (and RedOne).

That Synth Line is one of the famous ‘Vengeance Sample pack loops’ i have them myself there is a bass line loop and a lead line loop.
All tho in saying that, For Sale has changed it up quite a bit. But the Lady Gaga track it hasn’t been altered at all
